Roatan, Honduras

August 31 - September 8, 2024 - 8 divers

Roatan is a tiny eyelash shaped island off the coast of Honduras. It’s reefs are part of the Mesoamerican barrier reef system, the second largest barrier reef in the world.

The diving around Roatan is highlight by abundant hard and soft coral coverage, bright colorful sponges, diverse macro life and regular appearances by eagle rays and sea turtles.

This year’s package included 8 dives spread out over the course of the week. Some of the signature dives include tours of sweeping wall dives and a night dive targeting of the famous string of pearls.

Warm, clear and calm conditions prevailed during this trip, which made for spectacularly comfortable days in the water.

Members of the group participated in a lionfish management course and a coral nursery and restoration course. Other visited SOL Roatan, a community center focused on providing mentorship and resources to local kids.

Roatan Dive Safari is an annual trip on the Inside Under calendar. Secure your spot for 2025 here!
